Caitlin
Caitlin is a queer, neurodivergent artist based in Perthshire. They are a contemporary artist who works across diverse media, prioritizing emotion and meaning over material. Their practice often incorporates confessional elements drawn from personal experiences, with language and text playing a central role in expression.
The text and prose Caitlin writes are integral to their work, playing with the imagery and mark making that goes alongside it. As Caitlin's influence lies in their lived experiences and how they interact with the world around them, their work can vary from subject to subject. Some of the themes they touch on include grief, mental illness, joy and love.
Caitlin created this grief journal to accompany their exhibition Grief Talks, which was on view at WASPS Creative Exchange in Perth from 4th July - 1st September 2025 and came to Glasgow later in 2025.
